A complete overhaul of all the GTA IV weapons, including lore-friendly and real weapons, as well as beta content. This is your definitive weapon pack for GTA IV.

GTAMEN00 Ultimate Weapons Pack

The goal of this pack is to create a more refined and advanced weapon set for GTA IV, replacing the original weapons with higher-quality models, real-world counterparts, beta/unused content restored from the game's development, while maintaining the game's lore, atmosphere and temporal consistency.

Rather than simply adding modern weapons, I wanted every replacement to feel like something that could genuinely belong in Liberty City between 2007 and 2008.

 DETAILS

Optimized PackageThe pack has been carefully optimized to keep its overall file size as low as possible, while still improving the visual quality and variety of the game's weapons.

Complete Firearm ReplacementEvery firearm in the game has been replaced with a new model.The replacements were selected with particular attention to their appearance, historical period, lore compatibility and how naturally they fit into GTA IV.

Skorpion vz. 61The Micro Uzi has been replaced with the Skorpion vz. 61.

I chose the vz. 61 because it feels much more consistent with Niko's Eastern European background and with the kind of compact weapon that could plausibly circulate through criminal networks during the game's time period.

AK - Stockless ConfigurationThe AK has been replaced with a stockless configuration, together with a modified magazine featuring a quick-attachment setup, adding further visual variety to the weapon selection.

Glock 18 - The standard pistol has been replaced with a Glock 18, giving the handgun slot a more distinctive and recognizable real-world counterpart while remaining appropriate for the game's era.

Suppressed Pistol & Beta Content - The Desert Eagle has been replaced with a suppressed pistol.For this weapon, I also made use of beta GTA IV files to restore the suppressed-weapon sound functionality, bringing an unused/removed element from the game's development closer to the final game.

SPAS-12 - Both original shotgun models have been replaced with the SPAS-12 with and without stock.The choice was inspired by the weapon's presence in GTA IV's beta artwork featuring Niko, making it a particularly fitting addition to this pack.

Dragunov - The original sniper rifle has been replaced with a Dragunov sniper rifle, providing a more distinctive and period-appropriate counterpart while fitting the overall visual identity of the pack.

Custom Weapon Icons created by me

Every replaced weapon also features a custom icon created specifically for this pack, so the weapon selection feels coherent not only in-game but also within the interface.

Knife - The original knife has been replaced with a more modern version, while keeping it visually appropriate for the game's setting and timeframe.

MORE THAN JUST MODEL SWAPS

The changes go beyond simply replacing weapon models.

INSTALLATION

Installation is straightforward.

Copy and/or drag all files contained in the mod folder (DO NOT NEED TO COPY THE README) into your GTA IV main directory, the same folder where:GTAIV.exe is located.

CREDITS

I am not the original author of the weapon mods contained in this pack. For example the skorpion was made by edsir98, the dragunov by alpha009. Ufortunately I cannot track all of the authors due to the fact that most of the mods were uploaded without credits.

Full credits for the original weapons models, conversions and respective authors should be attributed to their original creators.

This project is primarily a curated and customized weapons compilation, with extensive selection, configuration, texture work, optimization and integration carried out specifically for this pack.

Please support the original mod authors whenever possible.

FINAL WORD

This project was created with the idea of making GTA IV's weapon selection feel more varied, believable and complete, without losing the identity of the original game.

Every replacement was chosen with the same philosophy behind the vehicle pack: improve the experience while preserving GTA IV's atmosphere, lore and time period.
